This has created greater choice as well as confusion for the customers. For all those who research products before finalizing the purchase, a start up based out of New Delhi has found a way to simplify their search. It also gives them cash back on purchases made, over and above the discounts given by e-commerce companies. This one stop online shopping portal is called Baggout.
Baggout was founded in 2012 by IIT Roorkee alumnus Deepak Jain and his friend Prashant Mahajan ex- technical architect at scholastic. Baggout works with an aim of helping online shoppers in discovering right products while helping them save money on the purchases through cash back and discounts.
Baggout’s product aggregation feature helps shoppers in saving time. The user can browse through products available across 500+ portals at one place and don’t need to visit all different websites. They just have to log in using their facebook account or through email account. The portal lists the products available on over 500 retailers. Baggout has partnered with several big Indian e Commerce companies like Myntra, Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal, Jabong, Home Shop18, Yepme, Ferns n petals among others. Users can browse through products available on these portals on Baggout and select appropriate product based on their choice. Once finalized, the users can compare its price across all online shops and Baggout also provides the coupon like Flipkart coupons, eBay coupons, Myntra Coupons and many more, which is applicable on the product.
Under its affiliate model, Baggout gets a commission on such sales, which it then passes as cash back to the users. It started cash back service in October last year. Users receive cash back on purchases made when they shop via Baggout on e-tailers’ website. The cash back is automatically tracked to the user’s Baggout account and they receive it once the purchase is done. Baggout guarantees complete payment of cash in two months from the date of purchase. Baggout provides cash back using the commissions retailers pay them for referring sales.
