5 on-the-go hairstyles for curly hair

Styling wild curls has never been easy, but some on-the-go hairstyles could definitely save your day! You don’t have to go out of your way to set your hair, in fact all you need is a few bobby pins or a headband! Here are some 2 minute hairstyles that’ll get you going:

Use a bandanna
Just accept your hair texture as it is, especially in hot, humid weather. Don’t straighten them out in a weather that doesn’t seem to favour your hair. Enjoy the natural curls and leave them loose. Don’t use too much product or you might sweat that out too. If it’s too hot, just wear on a colourful bandanna instead! This will set you up for a walk on the beach in no time.

Headbands work
If you are short on time and want to tame your crown portion, then a steady and comfortable headband works. It can be a thick, sleek band or simply a nice broad one. These do great to set rather bushy locks, especially in a professional environment. To add to this, tie your hair up into a high bun for a chic look.

Side-swept curls
This is the perfect cheat-code to a red carpet look! Move your curly locks to one side and pin your hair right behind either ear. Tease and back-comb the crown portion if you find it too flat and use a volumising mousse and a shine spray for the look. You will be set to dazzle in a floor length gown or an A-line dress with this hairstyle! Here is how you can trick your hair into looking thicker.

Loose, low pony
We all have those formal, rather grand events to attend once in a while. And for times like these, up-tight hair-dos don’t always work. Since you have gorgeous wavy texture anyway, just back comb your hair or use a broad-rounded brush for that extra volume. Then, tie your hair almost near your nape into a loose ponytail. Wear a sleek head-band to top it off. Want a thicker ponytail? Try this!

Plaited bun
If you are off to a party or a wedding after work, this style is perfect! Preferably, this would work for longer hair. For this style, begin with tying your hair into a usual plait then, just tie that plait into a simple bun. Pop in some fresh flowers, if you are heading to a wedding or even a brunch date. Leave your front hair or bangs just naturally wavy. Try these tricks to style your hair naturally.
